I think I would give this short film 3 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed it, I love scary movies! But it wasn’t scary enough for me. I did jump on one part. I felt the anxiety from the runner, up until that part. Then I kind of lost it because all it was, was a shadow. The girl playing the jogger, I thought she was scared but almost not scared enough, I mean there’s this big black shadow following you, chasing you. I think I would have passed out from fear, if I was in that situation. The film takes place in the woods, beach, and what looks to be an abandoned road, which was my favorite setting because I felt like that was the scariest setting. I think the film is supposed to scare you, and make you jump. I was scared, but when it hit part three I almost saw it as unnecessary, she falls and races to get inside and the black thing is right behind her, I think that the shadow thing should have like grabbed her foot than she would have gotten away and gotten inside.

The suspense techniques I noticed, was the music, the music is what I think, the best of the short film. It made me feel like something bad was going to happen as the music intensified. The camera angles I thought were really good too. They did some close ups, and when they were on the dirt road they made it look like the road was getting longer and longer which I thought was a good touch.

I think it was good for a short film. The strengths of the film would definitely be the suspense techniques and camera angles I think that is what made the film scary. Some improvements could be adding a little bit more scares put the main character into a little more danger, but then let her be safe. I will remember most would totally be the music and camera angles, plus in part two the part where I jumped.
