Have you or anyone you know been affected by a date rape drug? Well I personally know some friends that have and it's a terrifying thing especially to the younger generation. Do you think it's easy to go through something that you think in the back of your head you could have prevented? Have you ever brainstormed how this problem of date rape drugs could be solved or narrowed down to lower the percentage? Well if you haven't a couple of NC State College students have. They have been researching and studying how to help the females today recognize and show awareness for the drug, and you'll never guess on how they plan on doing it. 

A date rape drug also known as a predator drug, is any drug intentionally used as incapacitating agent to assist in the execution of drug facilitated sexual assault (DFSA). The most common types of DFSA are those in which a victim ingested drugs willingly for recreational purposes, or had them administered surreptitiously: it is the latter type of assault that the term "date rape drug" most often refers to. Practically any drug (either surreptitiously or openly given) could be considered a date-rape drug if used to facilitate rape.

Researchers agree that the most common form of date rape drug is alcohol-related, with the victim in most cases consuming the alcohol voluntarily. Alcohol being readily available as well as legal, and is said to be used in the majority of sexual assaults. Many assailants use alcohol because their victims often willingly consume it, and can be encouraged to drink enough to lose inhibitions or consciousness.
