CLIMATE CHANGE: NATURAL OR MAN-MADE?

Change is inevitable and the Earth is not an exception to this inevitability. As of this very moment the only place where humans can live is the Earth but it is gradually losing its grasp to live for humankind to live in it. Is this change natural or is it made by man?

NASA stated that “The Earth’s climate has changed throughout history.” There are evidences to this statement which evidently shows that the climate is not what it used to be before. Evidences (according to NASA) are the rising of sea level, the rising of global temperature, warming of oceans, shrinking of ice sheets, declining arctic sea ice, glacial retreat, extreme events and ocean acidification. What is the cause and who does these causes? The culprits to these happenings are greenhouse gases – water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, CFC’s (Chlorofluorocarbons). Where do these gases come from? It is made and it is produced by the society. I personally believe that climate change is man-made. These gases may be natural but the excessive use of these gases – that causes climate change – is done by man. Carbon dioxide is also being blamed for the change of our climate but who releases carbon dioxide? It is us who releases and produce carbon dioxide and study shows that carbon dioxide is in far relation to the change of temperature.

We depend on Earth and Earth depends on us. What we should give to the world is not a one-sided love. Earth gives us the resources that are necessary for us to survive and we should learn how to make good use of it. Climate change is just a small evidential factor that Earth is dying because there are more unnecessary changes that is yet to come.
