These words run through my mind and drive me every day. Pursuing goals and committing to excellence are key components to accomplish success throughout our lives. I stand by this rewarding lifestyle and do my best to follow academic success. I believe that my acceptance into this prestigious society will allow me to expand further in my never-ending life journey to achieve excellence. I plan on doing this by prevailing in each four pillars of the National Honor Society: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

Studying is not just a daily chore that is part of my everyday life. It is what I love to do. I enjoy using my mind to expand my knowledge of the world and its mechanics. Good grades come naturally with this approach. Since starting school, I have never dropped below a 3.8 GPA. Upon entering high school as a freshman, I obtained a cumulative 3.86 GPA. Although good, I knew I could do better. Therefore, I stepped up my game moving into my sophomore year. Taking the only AP class offered to sophomores, I came out of my first semester with a 4.14 GPA. I realized long ago that doing the best I can, will always lead me to success. I plan to continue having my GPA over a 4.0 throughout my entire high school career, taking both APUSH and APLAC next year, along with Math Analysis, a senior level class. With this GPA, I have collected many prominent awards that I am extremely proud of and grateful for. This includes the Presidential Award in 8th grade, along with Honor Roll certificates each quarter since my sixth grade year. I’ve also been accepted into the French Honor Society my freshman year, in addition to awards in Math Counts, Voice of Democracy, National History Day, and Varsity Club for tennis.
