JFK was born on May 29,1917 in Brookine, Massachusetts.

In September 1941, he got medical disqualified by the Army for his chronic lower back problems, so he joined the Navy. He attended the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps and became an officer. He made to the rank of Lieutenant before getting out of the Navy. As you can see Kennedy's World War II medals included refer to the slide.

On August 2, 1943, Kennedy's boat, PT-109, along with PT-162 and PT-169, was performing nighttime patrols near New Georgia in the Solomon Islands, when PT-109 was rammed by the Japanese destroyer Amagiri. Hurt his back again! forced into rehab.

John F. Kennedy was good leader because he was a charismatic! He said to be a good President because he kept the people of America informed on what he was doing.
He also proved to be a good leader by creating the Peace Corps.
He pushed for a nuclear test ban treaty, and started the race to space.
He also solved the Cuban missile crisis. He faced down the Soviet Union when they were installing missiles in Cuba. As the U.S. and the Soviet union are minutes away from war when the Soviets backed down after US battleships ordered Russian ships that were carrying missiles to turn back.
Unfortunately he didn't have many successes as president, because he only spent two years as president due to being assassinated.
