The Ethisphere Institute’s list constitutes a list of the most ethical companies in the world. This can be accessed at http://ethisphere.com/worlds-most-ethical/wme-honorees/. From this particular list, many organizations treat their consumers, the environment as well as its employees in an exceptional and morally praiseworthy manner. The focus of this paper is the National Grid Company. This is an international gas and electricity company, as well as one of the world’s largest energy company that is owned by investors. It provides an important role in the provision of energy to millions of consumers across Great Britain and Northeastern parts of the United States. The company seeks to do this in a manner that is safe, reliable and efficient (National Grid).
The assessment herein under provides an analysis of the manner in which this company has behaved in a morally responsible way towards consumers, the environment and its employees. Further, there is a prediction of the effects that these morally conscious decisions would have on the bottom line of the business. As a final point, there is a serious review of the company’s policies where the company could benefit from an improvement of its consumers, environment or employees’ treatment.
