1. Is Dunkin a good representative of King Duncan? Why or why not?

In the movie Scotland Pa, it is mainly based around Duncan's Cafe which is a fast-food restaurant in the small town of Scotland, Pennsylvania. In the play, King Duncan is the king of scotland at the beginning. Dunkin is a good representative of King duncan because that are both focusing on the same thing. Duncan’s cafe is in Scotland and King duncan is the king of Scotland . I dont think that Duncans personality in the play full matched to his in the movie. I feel like he didn’t stand out as much as in the movie as he did in the play. He just seemed like a quiet guy in the movie while the play showed him a bit more happier.

2. What do you think of Pat MacBeth's portrayal of Lady MacBeth?

Lady Macbeth is portrayed equally. She forces her husband to to kills his boss, she’s greedy, and has ambitions to be even more successful than what she already is. Pat Macbeth is very determined and doesn’t want to get caught like she does in the play. She tries to hide the evidence with the knives. Lady Macbeth is one unique character, but is always portrayed in the same sort of ways.

3.Are the three hippies a good representation of the three witches?

In the movie Scotland, PA it starts out with the three hippies, while the play of Macbeth, begins with a short appearance of three witches. Mac comes across the three hippies at a carnival on his way home from a bar called The Witch's Brew. He was there drinking with his friend Banko. The two male hippies take Mac to see the woman hippie, who tells him his fortune. In the play both Macbeth and his friend Banquo come across the three witches in the moor. The witches inform Macbeth that he is going to be the king of Scotland and that Banquo's descendants are going to be a line of Scottish kings. I thought the witches did a perfect job in the movie. They did a great job acting in the movie. I could tell that they were just like the three witches...
