1. In the videos you just watched where is the color code to use for the jack shown?

a. A CAT-5e the color code is visible on both outer sides of the RJ-45 connector

b. A CAT-6 the color code is only visible on the interior between the PST (pair separation tower) of the RJ-45 connector

2. For the wires how many possible termination color code methods are there?

c. There are only 2 possible color code methods, T568A and T568B.

3. How many wires are there in a UTP cable?

d. There are 8 wires in the UTP cable.

4. What colors are used on these wires?

e. Colors used are orange, green, brown, blue, orange-white, green-white, brown-white, blue-white.

5. The punch down tool used to insert the wires into a jack such as this does what two things to each wire?

f. The punch down tool is used to seat and trim the wires.

6. What is the most critical part of the termination procedure to ensure low crosstalk on the connection?
