Executive Summary

This report provides an analysis and evaluation of the project history of Trillo Apparel Company’s (TAC) District 4 Production Warehouse Move experience over the last five weeks. Recently, TAC has expanded considerably over the last few years and District 4 has outgrown its location. Because of this outstanding growth, executives wanted to move District 4 to a new, larger facility 10 miles away. Methods of analysis are status reports (verbal and written). The findings have shown that the project was briefly delayed due to lack of resources and manpower. After evaluation, implementation of overtime was approved and in turn put the District 4 project back on schedule.

• Current status of project

1. Schedule: Was finished on time, 4 months. The work bench project began two weeks before the actual move. The move began on 21 October. The project ended 21 January.

2. Cost : The original cost of the project was about $777,000. The delays cost $1,850,000 in lost revenues (50,000*37 days) but the PM got the approval to implement overtime hours which allowed the project to go on as planned.

Deliverables

In the early phases, our outputs will be the developed plans, such as the Communication Plan, Project Plan, WBS and this Project Scope. After we have developed plans, we will hold meetings with the vendors and then obtain the needed permits to begin work.
