1. Do you agree with those in France who think that Coca-Cola is invading the French culture? Why is the loss of culture a major concern?

We totally agree that Coca Cola is invading not only the French culture but the most countries and their cultures all over the world. Coca-Cola is everywhere. Coca-Cola has been one of the most successful in the transition from a local, national product, to a globalized, international product. In Europe this multinational company (Coca-Cola) had become so popular after the Second World War. France followed by Coca-Cola in 1949. French administration was totally against of Coca-Cola company, they though it is necessary to resist Coca -Cola entering to the French market because they thought that Coca-Cola is trying to change French public’s way of thinking and the company is invading the French culture.

Penetration of Cola into the French market was a major concern for French culture identity, as Cola was going to replace its wine and other national beverages. France mostly defined by its Wine and national beverages rather than by language, religion etc. Wine is subject of conversation and appreciation in France. Coca Cola always is the same, but wine has different texture, body, flavor.

Most of people think France is changing to the worse and the reason of this is impact of Cola which represent American mass culture. Some people in France hypothesize that “dark drink” of America was much more dangerous than their army, because it colonized people’s mind. In USA people have crackly relationship between family and food, people no longer eat their food together. But it was different in France, French people have cultural habits like eating with all family members and drinking wine. But Coca Cola changes peoples mind. When people start to change their manners that are following a lot of years, they lose their cultural values. Unfortunately by losing those values they also lose their difference as a nation....
