Challenges in the Organization

I am the owner of a retail dry goods store with a maximum of 100 employees. I am located in a town where most of the customers are employees from an automotive support industry who just announced they are relocating to Mexico. This is hindering the sales and organization, which is causing the organization to face many challenges. My goal is to analyze the challenges the organization will face using OD principle, and apply OD principles in order to ensure the continued operations of the business.

When organizations are facing problems, it is their top priority to find a resolution to withstand the dramatic effect. Organizations have to be ready to deal with these changes; otherwise the organization will not succeed. The organization needs to change their beliefs, values, and structure of the organization to better absorb any disruptive technologies, shrinking or exploding market opportunities, and making sure there aren’t any challenges or chaos.

As our everlasting world is constantly changing at a rapid pace, we either have to evolve with it or evaporate as a whole. If we don’t make any changes, the organization would be one that ends up evaporating or not lasting due to the relocation changing. Changing the organizations basic of beliefs in the employees is one way that the organizations will remain standing. Employees might feel like their job is at risk with these recent changes, but you having to talk to them and tell them that if they give their all and give a helping hand, the organization won’t fail and their job will be saved.
