PERSONAL LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY

I believe in leadership. As it is said, “you don’t need a title to become a leader”. Leadership is the ability to convert vision to reality. It is the right of a leader to inspire people, and guide them to achieve the vision and mission of an organization.

I believe that the most important asset in every organization is the staff. As a leader, it is my duty to know the staff, take interest in their achievements, and motivate them to achieve the goals of the organization. In order to achieve this, I have to be approachable. Staff should feel comfortable to give me information, whether good or bad, so I can always be in the information flow.

Motivating others to take a bold step in making decisions is important in generating future leaders in an organization. In delegating responsibilities, I will ensure decision making are assigned appropriately according to levels. I will confirm and trust each staff with their assigned duty. I will, however, give them my support and never criticize any decision made by anyone. I will never delegate any assignment and give excessive attention. I believe in different ideas and approach to a situation and providing results. Therefore, I will take interest in how they went about the duty for the purpose of learning and then if my way is better, I will introduce it for the purpose of learning too.

Leadership by example is better than leadership by words. I want to work closely with the staff in the organization. I enjoy group working and I know everyone has a unique way of approaching their assigned duties. Everyone’s role is important to the organization and it cannot be exchanged. I promote creativity and innovation so far they are not deviating from the missions, values and visions of the organization. I have value for new ideas and approach to situations as long as there are results.
