Analysis Paper

The true meaning of the word journey is the act of travelling from one place to another. This idea is prevalent throughout T.S. Eliots poem Journey of the Magi. This poem represents tone, imagery, and myth in several different ways.

The tone feels like it is a journey and they have many places to go and things to overcome. There may be many things that the autoher includes to make the poem what it is, but I believe that his tone, imagery, and use of myth make his poem striking the way it is. His poem is not too long and is for interpretation, but in his whole page he describes the feelings of his journey, however one wishes to perceive it as. He has many ideas all descriptive and important to showing the proper imagery of his work. They arrive at many places and must continue on until they reach their destination. He embarked on a long journey and took a lot out of the experience. I think his tone is very dry and upright, but also to the point. He describes it as an adventure that is very calming, but also with places to go. He step by step describes what was happening and what came next. It is very easy to read a long with and know where you are in the poem. The poem is straightforward, but can also be interpreted differently because as with many T.S Eliot poems you don’t know exactly what he means.

I say this because I believe that the story he is writing about is based on a myth, but also has valuable morals to teach. For instance, it is a long road to get where you want to be, but there are things to do a long the way with good times and bad times. The full journey is long, but is worth it. The tone really makes the poem what it is because of the way he describes each step in a sequential way. You know how it went and where he was going and how it felt at the time. It was very easy to read a long with and why I enjoy the story of the poem so much. He has a way with words that are entertaining and...
