1.INTRODUCTION

Everyone has the right to an education, whether young or old, male or female. Although this is listed in our basic human rights it is not one that is easily gained by many people in Africa.

In today’s society we do not think about how others in rural areas are suffering as they cannot receive the kind of education we take for granted every day. The fact that I am able to be in university shows how my parents have given me the right to further my education as far as I want to go. In the rural areas the children are lucky to receive even a primary education and if they finish it completely then they form part of a small percentage that does finish. In this discussion we see how the world has set out goals for each and every country for them to achieve the rights which we take for granted and provide it to those who long for their basic needs.
