CHAPTER 1
1.1 INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Innovations made operations of computers possible through ease of usage by which in terms of processing record systems such as establishment of data records, storing, gathering and retrieval of data; whereas given the fact that St. Anthony’s College has increased in student`s population and at the same time, the amount of work of the registrar and student`s grades to be processed has also increased rapidly. One of the obligations of the registrar’s office is to keep track of the student`s grades as a data protected for their records and other related purposes. In order to provide an economical and manageable tertiary to the students as well as the staff of the said college of the Municipality of San Jose, the researchers found a way to address this problem.
1.2 Project Context
The main focus of the proposed project is for the Bachelor of Science students in Accounting Technology II-B, whereas the researchers found out that it is easier for the registrar’s office to submit the grades of students via e-mail in encoding grades. The registrar office encoded the grades of the students once the teachers submitted their report card. When the registrar office released the grades of the students after they encode, the students can get their grades immediately.
