STSMC is the worlds largest independent semiconductor foundry. Although it offers a variety of wafer-product lines, it is best known of its logic chip product line with particular strength in advanced low power processes.

Its headquarters are located in in the Hsinchu Science and Industrial Park in Hsinchu, Taiwan. TSMC was established in 1987 and is today listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange and on the New York Stock Exchange.
