In chapter 5, we learned data resource management. I think the data resource management helps our school a lot in every aspect. In our school official website tamucc.edu, there are many software tools offer students and school staff to us. Also these software tools are able to manage school’s data resources. Students and school staffs are different entities. In tamucc.edu, there also have different interest for each of student and staff. For example, students can go to blackboard, SAIL and staffs can visit like Academic affair and Island online. Both students and staffs use their Islander username and password to access these secure resource. The school data resource management system won’t disclose our information for people who don’t have their Islander ID.

There are three important management soft systems in tamucc.edu. Firstly, I want to talk about blackboard. It is a learning management system in tamucc.edu which provides students to talk about their assignment with their classmates take test or contact with their professors. It also records everyone’s current semester class situation such our grade. It demonstrate us the system capture and collect data from users. Meanwhile, school database equip with a lot of databases for students do their project and research paper. This data resource management system is also serviced by the tamucc.edu. According to our textbook said, “A data warehouse stores data that have been extracted from the various operational external, and other database of an organization, it is a central source of the data that have been transformed, and cataloged so that they can used by managers or other research”（191）. In our school database, it use data warehouse to collects and store different category data resources like business field, education, or health care.
