Introduction

Disturbing Behavior was a very good book. All 211 pages encompass so much information to alert us about our teens today. I must say though, it was heart breaking to know that teens are faced with so much sin and demoralizing trends on a daily basis. The 53 trends are a part of many teen’s lives today and they are very disturbing. From abortion to Wicca, many of these cultural activities are well known and popular to many of our teenagers. Many in our society acknowledge these behaviors, but ignored by even more. All and all, these trends are leading our teens farther and farther away from God. We as leaders, parents, ministers, counselors, and teachers have to get more involved with our teens and these behaviors so we can recognize them.

Summary

This book has more than one purpose. It identified and described the behaviors of teens today that are running rampant within our society. A great number of our youth are active in these trends. I was surprised to read about some of the behaviors and to know that I have seen signs of those behaviors in some of our youth within my church. This book has thoroughly researched and documented all the statistics and findings that can identify these as trends and not just one-time activities or incidents. These behaviors are no longer on the fringe of adolescent culture. They have taken a position of importance among most teens. Another purpose of this book is to inform the concerned teacher, parent, pastor, youth leader, and counselors how to spot the warning signs for these behaviors.
