Abstract

Through brainstorming and discussion, the proponents came up with the idea of creating a multipurpose website for the Cherry Midtown Hotel. The hotel doesn’t have a website, and it is only relying on some websites like www.agoda.com for their online reservations. Through an interview with their Head Marketing Department, and personal observation, the proponents were able to identify the things that needs improvement and upgrades.

The Manager of Cherry Midtown Hotel, agreed to the proponents proposed system. The system is a multipurpose webpage that will have all the information’s that a customer wants to know about the hotel. Also, the proponents will create a check inn system that will have hotel front desk operations module with 3M passport reader.

The proponents are designing an Informational website that can meet the needs of the hotel and the customers. This website will have the information’s of the hotel, the rooms, its facilities, other services and most important is the hotel reservation online.

Also, the proponents will create a system for the hotel reception or the check inn. On check inn, the customer will be asked for a passport or an id. The 3M passport reader will automate the procedure, it will capture and store the data in the database if a passport is used, or capture the image and store the image of the ID if a passport is not used. The target time to capture and store in the database will be faster than their manual system.
