Subject: Strategy Implementation

In order to overthrow the Sheriff and Prince John and get King Richard the Lionheart back to his rightful place certain steps must be made. The barons have the right idea by trying to collect enough money to bring King Richard back; however it is to no avail. You and your band of men must give money to help the baron’s efforts in collecting the ransom. The question is how we do this with all the problems going on in your group of Merrymen.

With the classes I have taken in Business, I can apply the knowledge garnered to the problems going on in your group and it shall fix many of the growing problems fixed. The first thing you will do is slightly downsize your group. With your men goofing off and playing games nothing will get accomplished. As I learned in BUS 325 downsizing can be used to benefit a company when things are becoming too large and unsustainable. In your sense the food supply is running short in the forest and is no longer able to sustain the people who need it. Downsizing will also help you get control of the group again, which seems to be one of the bigger problems from within.

The next step is for you to become more of a vocal and demanding leader that also shows respect for your men. As I learned in BUS 320 a vocal leader who is motivating will get the most out of its men. Because you have not been more demanding, the men have been slacking and less money is being made.

The last step is to advertise to the people of Nottingham to bring King Richard back. This will help garner even more money from another source and will help to overthrow the Sheriff and Prince John. You will make posters that give a visual drawing of King Richard and will have the text “bring him back.” As I learned in BUS 330 visual advertising will serve a great impact to have people remember to help donate and bring him back.
