Business Case for Diversity

As part of ABC Pty Limited Indigenous Employment Policy we recognise that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are the traditional owners to Pilbara, Western Australia. Our vision and value explains how committed we are to increasing the awareness of respecting the indigenous cultures, values, supporting their further education and career progression. At ABC Pty Limited we define this as Diversity, the heart of our organisations future; for growth, motivation and performance.

As diversity is a critical aspect of our organisation, the importance and benefits of Diversity through the Indigenous Employment Policy for ABC Pty Limited includes the following:

“The benefits that diversity can offer contribute to four out of five areas of Company Performance Index: market engagement, HR practices, engagement with stakeholders and creativity and innovation.” (Rising to the Challenge of Diversity, A. Jones 2006).

The benefits mentioned above can be summarised as:

* Improved employee satisfaction, motivation, engagement and performance;

* Access to a wider talent pool, the ability to attract the best candidates at all levels

* Improved and positive branding;

* Innovative approaches to products and to existing and potential customer needs.
