The American Revolutionary War victory is an essential part in American history that without we would not have the freedoms we hold so dearly today, But how did we win this war? This war that was fought by untrained Americans who had colonized the eastern part of the United States. The odds against this once divided nation where staggering, yet we overcame these obstacles with many attributing factors and became the greatest nation on earth. Primarily we couldn’t have done it without the help of Great Brittan. The Stamp Act of 1765 caused an up roar within the original 13 colonies and unintentionally united the south and the north with one taught in mind, Taxation without representation was not, the Freedom they so sought after and sparked the engine of revolution. This dilemma slowly began a war between America & Great Britain, which soon turned into our first world war. Our allies included the French who proved to be a very important factor to our victory. On October 19, 1781 Lieutenant General Lord Cornwallis surrendered his over 8,000 men army that was located strategically on the Chesapeake Bay and provided a re-supply of soldiers or retreat options. The French naval forces trapped the British Royal Navy In the Chesapeake bay giving the Royal Navy no other options but too surrender. The main reasons for American victory in the revolutionary war was a mixture of strong sentimental felling’s from freedom against Great Britain, Foreign allies, and geography.
