The Impact of Television on Children

Does television do more good or bad to our children? We are living in a world of science and science can work wonders for us. Technology is rapidly increasing and making a variety of things accessible at our finger tips. You have television, cellphones, computers and plenty of other electronics. It is true that science has revolutionized modern life, specifically the marvelous invention of the television. The first signs of the television were introduced in 1908. “AA Campbell- Swinton gives details proposals for an electronic tv system” (phoenix.apollolibrary.com) TV is a wonder, and what TV contributes to society is a great thing but it has it disadvantages. Since we had television, there are several advantages of TV watching that has exposed things to us including weather forecast, events like sports, and any other information on the globe. The question is whether or not our children take advantage of these shows as they should or do they become consume on other shows. Despite of this optimistic, some researchers said that TV is bad for children. Therefore, there are negative and positive impacts of TV watching on children. Watching too much television has bad effects on children's health and education and behavior.

Watching too much television has a bad effect on the health of the children especially young children 2 years and younger. It is said that television does not necessarily provide educational benefits for children under the age of 2.
