TGV Cinemas Sdn Bhd (TGV Cinemas) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tanjong Public Limited Company. Since its inception in 1995, TGV Cinemas has not only grown to become one of Malaysia’s premier film exhibition companies but has also established a name as a pioneer in the cinema industry. TGV Cinemas revolutionised the movie-going experience by being the first to introduce the multiplex concept, offering Malaysians a wide array of movies within one location.

As part of TGV Cinemas’ commitment to ensure the ultimate cinema-going experience, it undertook a transformation exercise in 2010 and saw its new generation of multiplexes sporting a fresh look and feel. Consequently, TGV Cinemas in Ipoh, The Mines, Bukit Raja Klang, Sunway Pyramid, KLCC and 1 Utama, which is their flagship outlet were refurbished, hence adopting a more welcoming, vibrant and contemporary ambience. Some of the cinema halls were redesigned and renovated to maximise the space making way for more comfortable seats with wider leg room. Also added were plush twin seats equipped with privacy wings for those who value their own space.

Aside from the facelift, TGV Cinemas is also completely 100% digital. Cinema-goers can enjoy unmatched brightness, sharpness and superior images in 2D, 3D as well as 3D-X. Therefore, TGV Cinemas can now display high-definition content – 2K, 4K and 3D feature films, documentaries and alternative content in superior quality.

In line with TGV Cinemas’ goal to stretch the boundaries of cinematic experience, TGV Cinemas embarked on various initiatives to enhance the movie-watching experience and further etch its brand as industry leader.
