PORCH – EVENING

Old man walks to a bench with a Photo album and sits. H is back faces a white wall. We move over the old man’s shoulder as he opens the book seeing pictures of folk lore characters moving on the pages. Sad instrumental plays man looks sad.

EXT. SCHOOL YARD - MORNING

Two students will be walking and talking towards class.

We follow them across and we close up on the door. Noise from the classroom is heard.

INT. CLASSROOM – MORNING

Twelve students are restless and noisy. PAPA BOIS, LADI ABLASSE, SOUCOUYANT walk into the classroom and class b ecomes quiet. Scary instrumental plays. Two folk lore c

reatures walk slowly up the lanes watching the students ; they look scared, while Ladiablasse stays in front of the class.

CUT TO:

Four students in the back we close up on them still tal king to each other and not paying attention to them.

BACK TO SCENE

Folk lore creatures look at each other puzzled.

EXT. CORRIDOR OF SCHOOL – MORNING

Folk lore creatures are walking down the corridor. A st udent walks up to them bumps into Papa Bois and continu es to walk. Papa Bois looks upset. Three message tones are heard and they stop and take out their phones.

INSERT: CELL PHONE SCREEN

As the message is opened, it reads:

We regret to inform you that with the change in local c ulture, you have less than ten people who believe in yo u and if you do not increase your believers by the end of the day, you will cease to exist. Have a nice day fr om the BUREAU OF FOLKLORE CREATURES.

BACK TO SCENE

Papa Bois, Soucouyant and Ladiablasse look at each othe r they look shocked. Dramatic sound is heard. We close up on Soucouyant.

SOUCOUYANT

This cannot be true, if people stop believing in us we will be no more, we must find out.
