While unknown, sex trafficking is a form of slavery and a fast growing business that is occurring not only in third world countries but also in Florida and around the world.Sex trafficking knows no race and no gender. Girls, boys, teens and adults are trafficked. Some are even forced into sexual exploitation by their own families. They are living in an eternal hell and have no way to escape. In order to stop this business we have to bring awareness! There are many organizations that can help us abolish this form of slavery.

Not only are the victims sold by their own family members but, most women and children are lured into prostitution by a trafficker. Pimps look for those who are runaways, drug addicts and victims that will not be missed. In most cases the young ladies are tricked because the traffickers promise they will love them and help them and fulfill their romantic fantasy. They are also promised a good life for themselves and their families. Most of these girls start at the age of thirteen – fourteen. (U.S. Department of Justice) "In 2005, the Department of Justice reported that there has been an estimated 100,000 to 150,000 sex slaves in the United States since 2001. (Crisis Aid) When these girls are forced into prostitution, the traffickers quickly get them addicted to drugs and force them to engage in sexual activities. (Children Sold as Sex Slaves) They are constantly traveling in different parts of the world, nations and cities so that the victims and the traffickers themselves are not caught. Victims can be random or targeted. No matter what the traffickers will make the young girls into sex traffickers. An example is about a young girl, from a nice family, that gets a call from a friend that wants her to meet her outside her house to talk. The girl comes outside and her friend stuffs her into a car with two men who sexually assault her. Another example...
