What can Monique do to overcome the reputation of being a zombie on job?
I believe in order for Monique to overcome the reputation of being a zombie on the job she needs to become more involved. From what it appears Monique is more focused on the work of others instead of her actual job itself. If Monique was more self disciplined she’d be able to more actively engage herself with her co-workers and also develop better relationships with her supervisors. Which will in turn help her improve her work performance and her reputation on the job.
In what way might Monique’s parents have contributed to her lack of commitment to paralegal work ?
Monique’s parents contributed to her lack of commitment to paralegal work by being too involved in Monique’s future decision making. From the being it was stated that she was happy to receive her associates degree in paralegal studies so that she could now satisfy her parents demands. Both of her parents began to fill her head with multiple expectations, for example her mother told her that being a paralegal would give her a sense of status, make others believe that she was important. Monique’s father gave her the mindset of that she would always have job security no matter what even in the midst of a depression. However once Monique realized that the job was nothing how she expected her motivation and commitment greatly decreased.
