Problem Statement

The problem I see that you are having is that without social media, Sophie’s will have a hard time knowing how to grow further as a company. Sophie’s needs to work on their communication skills with customers and marketing strategies.

Purpose and Scope of Work

The purpose of this study is to show ways that social media can help improve customer loyalty, marketing strategies, and feedback. The research will explain things such as how to implement social media, adopting social media into the business, the importance of social media, and why you should use social media.

Sources and Methods of Data Collection

The material used in this study was collected from academic journals, websites, and books. These sources focus on social media in a business atmosphere. They include implementing social media, adopting social media into the business, the importance of social media, and why you should use social media.

Preliminary Outline

I. Importance of social media: Social media is important in today’s society because it is the number one means of communication to the world.

A. In the journal, Social Media’s Key Success Factors: An Analysis of Customer Reactions, it states “Using these sites gives a company access to many consumers; and because these consumers spend so much time on these sites, they come into contact with many advertisements” (Cambell, Anitsal, & Anitsal, 2013).

B. There are five themes of social media importance:

1. Inexpensive advertising has little to no cost to the company. If someone in the company can run a social media site, such as Facebook or twitter, there is no need to hire an outside source.

2. Necessary ads help keep the social media site free for the consumers to use.

3. Staying up to date is important because it helps customers and employees know what is going on within the company at all times
