Healthcare communication is very important, not only to patients but for doctors as well. Communication is an important means in the health industry by caring for people’s needs ( pg.) In my paper I will discuss the importance of communication is by incorporating the basic elements of communication. I will explain the basic elements of effective communication and how it differ from the basic rules of health care communication. I will also explain the how providers might encourage a reluctant consumer to communicate candidly and how the cultural differences influence communication.

To save time and money effective communication must be done the correct way. Caregivers who listen effectively and take time to care for there patients take a risk of being sued and also losing patients. Patients that communicate clearly with there caregivers havechance of having their concerns immediately address, which is likely to improve their health and save time and money (pg). Communication takes time and many caregivers now days do not have the time for there paitents. They come in and see us and spend less than fifteen minutes in our visit, right a prescription and the visit is over. They do not allow patients to ask questions or take the time to explain anything. Communications starts when one person express there feeling, concerns and ideas to another person. Patient who communicate clearly with their caregivers have best chance of having their concerns immediately address, which is likely to improve their health and save time and money (Du pre’, A University of Phoenix, 2005). The process of communication is composed of basic elements which are sender, speaker, transmitter, or instructor (University of Phoenix 2012, 2006, 2009). The three elements are dynamically interrelated since each element is dependent on the others effective communication to take place (University of Phoenix 2012, 2006, 2009). The elements differ from the rules of hrlthcare communication.
