Can the life, death and resurrection of Jesus be explained by a simple student, using common words, and who does not know as much as she should? Well that is what this student is going to do with this summary paper about Jesus, starting with his conception and ending with how he is in my life today. It took the Bible, with the Old and New Testaments, of sixty-six books, to cover the coming of Jesus, his life, works, death and resurrection. Even with the Bible’s vast amount of information about him, his life is hard to express everything in a summary paper. So, this paper may not cover every detail of Jesus’ life, but will touch on some of the facts and my thoughts on some things as I go along.

In the Bible, the book of Luke tells of the angle Gabriel who was sent to give Mary the news that she would give birth to God’s son Jesus. Mary was a virgin and pledged to marry Joseph. At this time it was not common or honorable for an unmarried woman to become pregnant and most men would not want to claim such a women. Joseph was told by angle that it was the God’s son and not to forsake her. He cared for her and her unborn child (KJV. 1976).

Before she gave birth they traveled to Bethlehem to be a part of a Roman census. The town was so filled with people that there was no room in the inns and Mary and Joseph went to a stable and it was there that Jesus was born. Mary wrapped him in clothes and placed him in a manger to sleep. The Lord Jesus was born in the most humble fashion. While they rested, an angle appeared to the shepherds in the fields and spoke if the birth of Jesus, Christ the Lord. After hearing the news the shepherds went into the town to see the child and to spread the good news (Luke, 2:1-7)

According to the book of Matthew, Joseph was warned by an angle to leave for the child’s safety. He did so and went into the land of Galilee to a town called Nazareth. This fulfilled the words of the prophets: “he will be called a Nazarene.” This is where Jesus and...
