* 1.1 SSSC background
Sand, Sun, Sea & City (SSSC) is a multi-functional integrated travel agency company engaged in providing package tours to sea resorts which including cruises on Mediterranean Sea as well as other exhilarating outdoor activities, and the packaged city breaks around the world are also covered in our services. The sales networks are set up randomly, which means the company didn’t step up efforts to develop internet marketing. The company is headquartered in Finland and has already established two agencies in Helsinki and one in Kuopio. In total, 15 people are employed by SSSC, which are 10 for Helsinki and 5 for Kuopio respectively.
Based on their customer files, there are 4000 customers totally, around 500 of which are frequent users of their services. What is noteworthy is that their major frequent users are older than 50 years.
Nowadays, people are talking that we have entered a network era. Along with the unceasing evolution of techniques and the spread of networking, the pace of people’s daily life is increasing. Compared to go to physical point of sales, an increasing number of people prefer enjoying online transactions on account of saving time and comfort. There is no exception that more and more packaged travel services are sold through the internet, even though the company has not yet reckoned with net activity seriously.
