Social Economic System

The best way to handle any type of disaster is with a social economic system. Social economic system provides government assistance with local amenities for example firefighters, public schools, and in some cases military. They are usually the first to respond in any situation and distribute resources to the victims of the disaster.

If America was to have a situation like the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010 the best way to handle it would be with a social economic system. You would have your first responders like firefighters, ambulances, to give aid and relief to the victims and military to create order. All of these responders are funded by the government but are stationed in local communities to assist if any disaster was to happen. In a socialist system, everyone is treated equally and is given the same amount of supplies and care.

The cost of gas and heat is much higher during the winter time because of the laws of supply and demand. Supply and demand concept is best described “Demand refers to how much (quantity) of a product or service is desired by buyers. The quantity demanded is the amount of a product people are willing to buy at a certain price; the relationship between price and quantity demanded is known as the demand relationship. As humans we do not like discomfort and are willing to pay more to stay warm and comfortable when the winter comes. Gas companies know this and charge more for their services because they know the demand is out there.
