Heathcliff is laying in bed thinking about cathrine and I believe he wishes he could have sved her. The song is about a man who lost somone who wishes he could have saed them. Sometimes in life you lose sombody and you will have those nights where you cry for them back but think about the good imes and you will get through it.

The father is telling him that he will always love him with all his heart and he will have plenty of that love. The song is completely like that. True love truly nevr ends no matter what you will always care for that person and that’s what the book and song both say

Linton stops loving his wife after the loss of their son. The song amd quote tie in together because they both describe a man falling out of love because of a loss. The one thing holding linton to his wife was his son amd after th loss there is nothing holding him to her.

The quote and the song describe a man who in the beginning meet an amazing woman who is beyond amazing but then in the end they lose her. You enjoy your time with the person you lovewhile you have them because in the end everyone drifts away in some way shape or form.
