Make-up is something most women enjoy putting on, looking at or buying to add to their enormous collection. “When you stand at the makeup counter or aisle, it can be confusing. Should you get lengthening, curling, thickening or non-smudging? And what, just what, is the difference between each of these anyway? Is there a difference, or are these mascara types all hype, designed to get you to buy more than one type” (Different Mascaras, 2012) Mascara is my make-up of choice that I can’t leave the house without wearing. I am a blonde with fair skin and my eye lashes are pretty much as blonde as my hair, so buying the right mascara is a must for girls like me. Mascara is the one piece of make-up that is most interesting to me because it makes women’s eyes stand out and a little goes along way. It’s amazing that something so simple can make a drastic change to one’s appearance, but you can’t just buy any brand of mascara. Each brand has different styles, colors and features. So, how does a woman pick which one is right for her? Many women go off of the price, what the product brand is and how it looks, where they can buy it and if there are any promotions or sales going on.

There is no price for beauty, but for beauty products there unfortunately is. Pricing of make-up seems to have gone up in the past few years and I know the mascara that I buy it almost $10.00. A lot of women that I know go for the cheaper prices because they think all mascara works the same, but I tend to disagree. My grandmother for example will look at two different brands of mascara, one being under $5.00 and the other one at $9.00 and just because the other one is cheaper, she goes for that one. I do think that with the economy being the way that it is does affect the sales of certain products. Many people don’t believe make-up is a necessity so they would rather buy something that will benefit them in...
