Banaag at Sikat

I chose “Banaag at Sikat” for I liked the story of this work. This gives us an idea that we should really value our status in our living. It doesn’t mean that you are poor, you will be poor forever and it doesn’t mean that you are wealthy, you will forever. Our lives has its ups and downs it is up to you how you urge your life.

I salute Felipe in the story, for he didn’t follow what his father is doing to the people in their place. Instead, he makes his decision to leave his family for he cannot stand the illegal plans of his father against the people. He wanted to have an opposite life instead, to give right to those people who are in need. Then, he fell inlove to Tentay, he accepted the lady even though she was not rich. He continued his plans on helping the people.

Delfin on the other hand, has his stand too. Like Felipe, he wanted to help the poor for he knows what they have experienced for he was not wealthy like Felipe. He live with his aunt house but studied law. Delfin, fall in love with Meni. Meni was the daughter of Don Ramon. Don Ramon was agints on their relationship for Delfin was poor. But, nothing hd stopped their love from each other so, because Delfin was poor and Meni didn’t received any from his father, they live with a lot of financial problems. Delfin regretted what he have decide.

Decision is the hardest thing I know. Once you decided what you really up to think it first so that at the end you will never regret what you have decided. Wealth has really a great power in the world, without money you are nothing. You can never live without it. On the other hand, we should not use our wealth against other peole for they have also their lives and they have family. Instead, we should help them to progress.
