DQ1
Q: What is the relationship between ethics and critical thinking? Provide an example from our person, professional, or academic life.
A: I think the relationship between ethics and critical thinking begins with thinking. I mean this in the sense of the way we think, what we think and how we process that information. If a person learns their ethically principles from experience and not are based on values, these ethics can change over time. The thinking process changes and the ethics change from each experience. If a person learns their ethically principles from the values they grew up with and learned as a child along with the experiences as an adult, they are more likely to remain steady in these ethics.
An example would be whether a person believes cheating is right or wrong. Ethically and academically it is unacceptable, but not in all cases are the circumstances surrounding the cheating black and white. There can be that slim gray area that many people would view as acceptable based on the circumstances despite ethics or values.

A student that does not use their ethics during their academic career takes the risk of having every academic practice questioned which could result in serious consequences...
