2. True.

Part 1

3. I have decided that my target for this data investigation will be ngc6543.

4. Best Available Picture

5. In my own words, I believe it looks and has a similar structure to an atom. There is a definitive center of the object, or the nucleus. There is also a cloud around the center that looks like it is spiraling around the center.

6.

7. NGC6543 is also known as the Cat Eye Nebula and was discovered by William Herschel in 1786. A nebula is an interstellar cloud of dust and gases. It is located in the direction of the North Ecliptic Pole so it seems as if the North Pole is pointing directly at the Cat Eye Nebula.

8. The halo of the Cat Eye Nebula measures 386 arc seconds. The halo is visible in the picture, the cloud surrounding the center. The brightest knot was discovered by E.E Barnard and is visible in the center of the image.

9. The star is located in the center of the Cat Eye Nebula. The “spikes” of this star are pointing in the same direction as the example provided, with the top “spike” pointing northeast. It looks as it is tilted at the same point as the Earth is on its rotational axis. The “spikes” do not align with the frame of the picture.

10. In the picture provided by the Hubble Telescope website, there are tens, about 30-50, visible stars around the Cat Eye Nebula.

11. Exposure Picture:

12. The first difference I noticed between the Best Available and the Exposure picture is that in the exposure picture, there seems to be more stars around and all over the nebula.

13. Another difference between the two pictures is that besides stars, it seems as if there are other astronomical figures in the picture.

14. The regions covered by the "Exposure" and "Best Available" are about the same.

Part 2

15. The Hubble Space Telescope has recently observed something new on the surface of Jupiter. What seems like a...
