Discrimination is inevitable, so we must focus on ways to reduce the problem. In order to address the issue of sex and race discrimination against women and minorities we must first make educating and training of female and minority doctors a priority. Biases in testing and financial status (social class) limit the number of female and minority Doctors. *(Commission of civil rights I) With a shortage of minority doctors the structure and decision making of the health care system is left up to mainly white doctors. This leaves the voices of minorities and women under represented *.(M Bobiniski, Gender Race & Just2002) Giving women and minorities access to a college education and medical school will help reduce discrimination.

Lower class and poor clients are largely discriminated against. To help reduce discrimination we must require doctors and nurses to develop new ways to educate, screen, and provide treatments that are affordable to the lower class and poor. The difference in education, income, social, cultural factors and personal characteristics should be avoided when it comes to giving (by a medical professional) and receiving medical care. Making sure that the lower class and poor are aware of their medical rights is another way to help reduce discrimination. Once a person of authority is aware of the fact that you know your rights the less likely they are to cross the ugly line of discrimination. With a better understanding of their medical rights will discourage discrimination against poorer and lower class clients. This change will prove to provide more equal treatments to everyone across the board. Thus resulting in the reduction of discrimination.
