Course Description

This course is designed to raise your awareness of the complexity involved in the communication process and provide you with specific skills and techniques for effective writing and presenting in a variety of business situations. Building on an understanding of the communication process and barriers to communication, you will develop the sensitivity and flexibility required to address the needs of different audiences. Throughout the course, you will devote time to communication concepts and techniques, case studies illuminating the issues facing communicators in organizations and planning and organizing ideas for business writing and presenting.

Improving your presentation skills will involve a personal assessment of your existing skills and the opportunity to further develop those skills through practice and feedback. In order to do this, you will make two...
