Abstract

A Helicopter Hurdle is an interesting game made using C/C++ with SDL graphics library. As students enrolled at Mapua Institute of Technology, this project allows students to understand the graphics functions of programming and contributes as one of the many center of excellence in the said school. Further, the project aims to enhance students’ logical skills. Several materials and information were gathered to support the project. By applying the gathered data, the project was made possible and allowed students to further understand and widen their skills in programming.

Introduction

The 2D Helicopter game is a game application wherein the objects and functions are run and oriented by the programming languange which is the C++ with the use of SDL graphics.

The key features of the game are:

* The use of SDL graphics and the sound have made the Helicopter Game in C++ more realistic, entertaining and interesting for playing.

* The options in the game can be chosen with the mouse arrow.

* In Helicopter Hurdle, you have the facility of turning the sound on or off, and there are many more functions.

The rule of the game is very simple; the helicopter has to keep flying without colliding with the obstacles in the game. When the helicopter collides with any obstacle, the game is over...
