SOUTHERN REGION PERFORMANCE
Southern Region consists of Sisonke, Umgungundlovu and Ugu Districts, with projects implemented by Department of Public Works (DoPW), Independent development trust (IDT). Department of Works consist of 91 projects at various stages of Implementation whilst IDT consist of 10 active projects at various institutions namely Greys (3 projects), Highlands flats, St Apolinaries,Fort Napier, Umzimkhulu,Pholela Community Health Centre, North dale Hospital and Natalia Building.
EXPENDITURE ANALYSIS
The Total Programme Implementation allocation for Southern Region is R 218, 600, 000 for 2013/14 Financial year. The accumulated expenditure to date as at the end of October 2013 was R 86 256 000 against an accumulative projection of the amount of R 138 225 000 at this time which represents 79% actual expenditure against projection and 40% of the total region’s allocation at 58% year to date time elapsed .The region is therefore 18% behind programme.
