Abstract

Trinidad and Tobago is the twin island state often referred to as the last stop of the Caribbean islands. These islands are located just above Venezuela. Trinidad, the larger of the two islands, is home to its rich history, culture, and natural resources. While Tobago, the smaller of the two islands, is known for its remote beaches, luxurious views of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and with miles and miles of beaches and location makes for great travel. Between the two islands, Trinidad and Tobago attracts more tourism then Trinidad. Together the two islands come together to be the most prosperous islands in the Caribbean. Trinidad and Tobago has a lot to offer to the global market. Investors around the world would need to know how Trinidad and Tobago would be beneficial to their country. First off, the culture of Trinidad and Tobago needs to be analogize before considering doing business.

History

Trinidad and Tobago has been through a number of colonist from the eastern hemisphere attempting to set claim on the islands since its discovery in 1498. Before its discovery, Trinidad and Tobago was home to various Indian tribes. The Arawak and Chaimas were two of the most prominent tribes in Trinidad. They were not only in Trinidad but a number of its Caribbean neighbors as well. The Arawak and Chaimas had an inherent style of government. The heir for The Cacique, the Chief of the tribe, was chosen by the eldest sister for the current Chief. Her son was the next in line to run the tribe. In Tobago, the Caribs, settled into the island. The Arawaks, Chaimas, and the Caribs eventually came to their demise after Trinidad and Tobago was colonized by their European neighbors.
