I believe becoming a Physical Therapist will give me an insight of how injuries can be avoided. Over the years, I have endured so many injuries and each time I needed some type of therapy. Due to the many injuries, I felt that my career path should be centered on something pertaining to sports and fitness. Physical Therapy fit the description perfectly. I found out physical therapists are the ones who work behind the scenes of not only making athletes bodies function correctly, but they help everyone’s body function correctly and I was blown away. As I researched more on Physical Therapy I found out Physical Therapy is the rehabilitation concerned with the restoration of function and prevention of physical disability following disease, injury, or loss of body parts. Being a physical therapist means a great deal to me because helping people is what I want to do. By examining issues such as: personal fulfillment, training, education, work schedule, salary, and job environment; I find myself to be highly suited to have a career in physical therapy.

Furthermore, to be a physical therapist, a person usually must obtain a graduate degree. When doing undergraduate studies a future physical therapist usually majors in a major with a science background, such as kinesiology, biology, or therapeutic recreation. Undergraduate studies usually take on average from four to four and a half years for completion. In most cases, a person will be required to hold a doctorate degree in physical therapy. In physical therapy school, it is a summary of rigorous course with many clinical. To even begin the road of becoming a physical therapist everyone has to obtain a high school diploma.
