Introduction:

Networks connect a lot of computers and these computers share resources. They are ultimately what connects a business to their data and provides information to facilitate services. When there are issues in the network it’s a valid concern for the stakeholders.

The Leonardo Cooper Charter School is experiencing issues with the speed and reliability. The school the goal of this project to assist Leonardo Cooper Charter School in developing a local area network that supports their connectivity needs and is reliable for all future business functions. This first order of business in making this project successful is to determine what type of connection and equipment will be needed to implement mitigate the project.

Problem #1:

A meeting with some of the stakeholders revealed there are some network issues within the schools system. Network technician, Helen Ross expressed concern about the functionality and reliability relating to 50 network printers which have become backed up with incomplete print jobs and the biggest problems is it’s difficult to determine which computer are outputting these jobs. Furthermore, there is congestion in the network due to a high volume of traffic. This issue slows the network to a halt and makes it difficult for faculty to check important emails and accurately report attendance. It seems this issue is a result of collisions, which occur when copious information is being shared within the same medium in the domain by multiple users.

Solutions #1:

Based upon analysis and research, the most efficient way to correct these problems is to develop a reliable print server that connects all the printers together and ensures effective time management and better speed. To remedy the collision problem that transpire within the network, we will...
