A Story about RJ City’s Response to Crime, Victims and Offenders

One afternoon two young men broke into a house, ransacked it and took small valuables they could easily sell. This is the story of those two men, the woman who lived in the house, and how RJ City responded to all of them. RJ CitySM is creating a system that will allow it to respond as restoratively as possible to all crimes, all victims and all offenders. In the course of this story you will meet family members and friends of all three. You will see how the crime had effects that went beyond the harm to the immediate victim. And you will observe how RJ City’sSM response is different from contemporary criminal justice.
