In modern, many countries had a big change, and become similar and international. Many things were already acting on international convention. I came from China, and was born and raised there. Like China has a huge change in several decades. But I think there also has many difference between China and Southwest Asia(the Middle East).

I think the religion is the biggest difference with my country. In Southwest Asia, there has ninety-three percent of the people are followers of Islam. This is a big number whether for a country or region, that means almost all people have their religious faith. Actually, the religion is also a part of their daily life for a long time. But in China, it is a variety of the religious. People can choose one which they like and the religion is not the necessary thing for people. Thus only a few people were followers. So the importance of the country has a big difference. Depend on where you live in.

In gender roles and gendered spaces, they are also have many difference. In Southwest Asia, the early, the women can not allow to a high education. And the home is a mainly places for women activities and the men or boys can go public spaces. This point is similar with old China. As time goes on, both of them were changed in different. The women in Middle East can go the public spaces when on business and accompanied by a male relative. And the women can take the highly education if they want. But in China, it changed a lot. The gender quality is becoming more common. Women can go out to work, can go public places by themselves. Now, the general status of women still low, but it also has increased.

I think the women in Islam is very restriction and not free in Middle East. And causing this happened is the deeply entrenched cultural preference for sons in this region is both a cause and a result of women’s lower social and economic standing.
