Palmquist covered a lot in this chapter about taking notes for a research project. A lot of the things he mentioned are already things I do. I organize my content on a folder on my computer and I use bookmarking and favoriting in my browser to come back to information I may need again or want to save (98). Palmquist also covered a lot I had never thought about such as using apps on your phone such as note apps, voice recorder apps, bookmarking apps, file manager apps, to-do lists on your phone (98). I think what Palmquisr covered about quoting directly was helpful but I find it helpful to write out all those quotes on one big "quotes for paper" page and then write a small sentence about where they would be good to use them in my paper. That way I am not scramling around to try and find the sources and the quotes to support my claims (103). It is important to keep all sources organized in order to be reference them often to avoid mis-quoting or mis-citing something in your paper. By organizing your sources and by organizing your direct quotes you can avoid plagiarism.

I liked that you mentioned using apps to help organize, I believe this can be helpful and also very reliable since you always have you phone conviently! I also like the idea of having a page for all of your big quotes you may want to use. They can be helpful in developing ideas and organizing your paper. I know I always hve trouble keepin track of all my papers and eventually I just have to go back and search for my sources
