My training plan will be conducted for Young Men Moving, a moving company. There are dozens of moving companies located in the Des Moines area, so having a niche is very important for a new moving company. As with all great companies, our focus is to provide the customer with excellent customer service before, during, and after their move. In order to achieve this, we need to as:

Managers: Ensure that the customer is satisfied by being polite and providing adequate information to insure nothing is misunderstood in the transaction. Ensure that any unhappy customers get dealt with appropriately.

Employees: The safety of the customer, their belongings, and the employee is very important. Great etiquette and respectfulness when talking to a customer and while in the customer's home.

For a moving company to thrive in a competitive market the actual moving side of the business has to be excellent. When a mover goes to a customer's house, it is important to look and act professional. With this includes: ensuring that safety is first from the moment they arrive at a customer's house to the moment they leave in order to protect our employees and the customer, ensuring the customer has a great experience and feels comfortable during the move, and ensuring that the customers' belongings get handled the right way to minimize damage.

The problem that unsatisfied customers have usually include the opposite of the items listed above. There are damages caused to the house or the items, the movers were unprofessional and rude to customers, or safety was an issue (ex. truck not put in park). Whatever the...
