Abstract
This paper investigates the different elements of Kanban, Just-in-time and Lean logistics. It investigates how they are affecting procedures in a company and both potential benefits but also risks that companies might have to take into account. It will also look into the aspects that are cross functional for the three different types of logistics, how they are different and how they are interrelated. The paper is being conducted upon online articles and books upon the subject.
The findings are that the three separate systems all have some differences; however it is possible to connect the key elements depending on the needs and industry that they are being implemented into. If they are implemented with respect to the surroundings the company can look forward to a great decrease in logistic costs and allow those resources to go elsewhere.
