Fitness and nutrition habits are major factors in obtaining and maintaining optimal health. To achieve optimal health, an individual must incorporate good fitness and nutrition habits into his or her daily activities. The lack of good fitness and nutrition habits can cause various health issues. However, good fitness and nutrition habits will promote a person’s physical, mental, and emotional wellness.

My current nutritional habits are poor. I am a very picky eater therefore my diet is deficient of the proper nutrients and vitamins. My diet lacks vegetables because I do not like or eat vegetables of any kind. My diet does consist of fruit but not as much as it should. I am not a big water drinker; however, I do think I get enough water through the food and beverages I do consume. I often skip meals rarely eating three meals a day. Many days my “meals” consists of snacks rather than proper meals. As I am single and do not particularly care to cook, my meals consistently consists of take out or fast food. The factors that have the greatest impact on my nutrition are my fussiness, time, and motivation. Although I am not obese, my poor fitness and nutritional habits have led me to be overweight.
